I am Adrianne - Owner, Creator, Collab and all round general dogs body over at Scrumptious Baby Things.
I have recently taken on another voluntary role as one of ambassadors for Babes + Picnics Hawke's Bay.
This role resonated with me for allot of different reasons. Some of which are, I love to help people and I myself felt very isolated when my child was born.
How it works; you turn up and you get given one ticket on the day to go into the draw to win prizes that have been donated from small local businesses.
The picnic supports a different local charity each month and a representative from that charity will give a short talk before the prizes are announced.
This month's chosen charity is Heart Kids Hawke's Bay. A donation is appreciated but not essential.
It is a relaxed and safe environment for mums and mums to be to connect and support each other.
I have also chosen to support Heart Kids Hawke's Bay by donating some of the proceeds from the sale of each of my milestone card packs for the month of November (except our Hip Hooray Pack, which has been designed for the sole purpose of supporting children and their families with hip dysplasia).
The amazing prizes for the November launch picnic have been donated by:
- Mud Mates (voucher and discounts)
- Visage Face and Body (back, neck and shoulder massage)
- Joyful Expressions (voucher)
- Chloe's Closet (voucher)
Although not a small local business, we have also received some amazing prizes yesterday. All the way from France from Kyla Tulou from the blog "The Evolution Road" and WAG to French Pro Rugby Player, Alex Tulou. Kyla and Alex moved from Hawke's Bay to France when they were only babies in their twenties and is Hawke's Bay mum at heart. Kyla loves what Babes + Picnics stands for and wanted to help a great cause. I will be announcing these prizes over on the B + P HB facebook group during the week.
If there are any mums that would like to attend but are shy about attending by yourself. Please do contact me beforehand. It will be an amazing day and a fantastic excuse to get out of the house and ... you may win a back, neck and shoulder massage.
